Age in Muggle/human years:
32
Appears to be:
30s, sometimes a little older
Place of Birth:

Race/Being:
Human, witch (English muggle father, French witch mother)
Skills – Physical, magic related, etc.:
Various jinxes (lingering adolescent buttholery), transfiguration, "burning the midnight oil" as it were, working under pressure, projectile accuracy (particulary pitching by hand), maths, mechanics (building and fixing), general inventing, fist-fighting (though her stamina and speed have greatly diminished)

Fears or weaknesses:
Fears: the dark, sleep paralysis, eyeball papercuts

Likes:
Alone time, ambient music/white noise, broom races, radio dramas, muggle old west fiction, magic + machines, Popular Science UK, reptiles, coffee. Nowadays she also likes routine and structure, if only to keep from lapsing into old and self-destructive behaviours.
Dislikes:
Cats, being idle, being the last to know things or understand a joke, loud noises, crowds, mail, camping, a lot of different foods, perfume/fragrances, timidity, passive aggression, sarcasm
Favourite things in life:
Basically what's in her "Likes"
Family - Parents’ and/or siblings’ names:
Father (muggle)- Nicholas Sloan
Mother (witch)- Avril Rousseau
Cousin (witch, mother's side)- Fiona Bernier
Cousin (witch, father's side)- Matilda (Mitty) Sloan
General Personality:
Pretty literal-minded, slow to acclimate, slow to change beliefs/opinions, thinks out loud, rapid-fire speech and train of thought, impatient, direct, tends to see things in extremes and devotes herself accordingly. Once thrived on adrenaline rushes and rowdy crowds, but years of poor self-care and overworking as a cage fihter have led her to aversion of crowds and noise.
Background and/or back story information important to your character’s plot line:
Intelligent, and once wild, Hester spent her school years in dramatic fluctuation as academic performance was concerned. Placed in Ravenclaw, but never feeling that she lived up to the expectations (despite theoretically satisfactory academic skills), and in a constant state of restless dissatisfaction, Hester directed her ill ease toward her classmates and late night curfew violations. All this would accumulate over the course of her time in Hogwarts-- poor focus, ambivalent patience, and an excess of derogatory marks on her behaviour records saw Hester only barely graduating.
After school, Hester would chose to live among the general muggle population of Leeds, renting a small flat from her rock star cousin, Mitty, and moving from one mediocre job to the next. She'd find some semblance of satisfaction and focus in the underground fight scene, an effective means to expend an overabundance of energy and aggression. Years of pushing too hard in the fight scene, of not balancing it well with her tumultuous work life, and general lack of self-preservation would take a hard toll on her body-- her once-formidable stamina suffered, and while she had never been a restful or consistent sleeper, any traces of a proper circadian rhythm was one, instead replaced with long bouts of insomnia and sleep paralysis.
Now a burned out husk of who she once was, Hester has left Leeds behind, and has found stable-- if mundane-- work at the London Ministry of Magic's Apparition Licensing Department. Her old restlessness and dislike for idle hands remains, but she's been redirecting it over the years into a burgeoning passion for mechanical engineering, a talent she's long possessed, but only began to explore in the last decade, thanks to her muggle father and his concern for her lack of direction. While her heart isn't in her day job, her work building machines has given birth to the start of something she could consider a goal: more fully integrating technology into the magical world.
Picture:
it's old; i'm updating her a little.
