Clara is a realist. She does not look at things on the bright side, nor the dark side. She takes it as it is and uses her analytical brain to get through it. Clara can come off as rude and cold to those who do not know her well. She does not like socializing and only has a small group of friends because of this. Clara is fine with that, though.
Of all the Lovegoods, people thought Clara Lovegood was by far the strangest, not because she thought Nargles were real or had random things to say at random times, but rather because she didn't. She was the 'Odd Lovegood', the one that didn't fit into the already misfitted family. Distantly related to the famous Luna Lovegood, Clara finds herself constantly being compared to her, sparking a hatred for her last name. She just wants to be herself.
Soon after her third year started she found out she could do wandless magic, much to her dismay. Though to others it may seem she has a special and rare ability, she finds it another reason for people to call her 'odd'.
Clara can get very defensive at times and is known to get out of hand when someone challenges her. While she would rather abide the rules rather than break them, she will in desperate times.
